► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio digital sports watch, model BP-1B (Module 2197), offered in true New Old Stock (NOS) condition. This model was produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in 2001 and is one of Casio’s most unique early-2000s designs, featuring an integrated blood pressure monitor—an innovative piece of early wearable health technology combined with classic Casio digital timekeeping. The watch is NOS and in mint physical condition, showing only minimal signs consistent with long-term storage. It comes complete with its original Casio hangtag. All parts are original, including the factory Casio resin strap and buckle. The original strap shows some age-related oxidation, which is common for unused resin of this era and does not affect wearability. Functionally, the watch is in full working order. Timekeeping, date, alarm, stopwatch, backlight, and the blood pressure monitoring function all operate as intended. Please review the photos carefully, as they best describe the watch’s physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
